Used the Gopro hd hero2 on east fork lake and had an amazing time... Tubing, wakeboard, and slowmotion 720p
great coaching, Thanks!
Hi there..There is a beeping sound which is signaling the ski when to turn. What kind of instrument are you using? Thanks.
That’s the speed control in the boat. The skier cannot hear it.
1 to 2 seemed to have the transition you were coaching. Thank you Seth!
I miss this place! We will have to go back soon!
Is this for turning around the bouy or just cutting across the wake
The transition from cutting across the wake to starting the turn to go around the bouy
this is the most helpful video I've found so far thanks!
Can you tell me how long you think it takes to become this good?
Depends a lot on age. I was at least this good when slalom skiing over my 1st summer at age 12. I could hit 4 at 19 off at 13. Now, pushing 50 years old, I am lucky to hit 2-3 at full length. Got back on the water for the first time in 20 years last summer, and it is now a very slow progression. My observation is that age is definitely a factor in how fast you can progress.
I am finally getting the hand of slaloming. I can go outside the wake and do decent cuts. However I'm having trouble doing deep water starts. Our old I/O stingray just doesn't plane quick enough or have enough power to pull my 190lbs body out of the water. Suggestions?
Im 165 and get up behind a 90hp johnson tracker! best thing is timing, keep your knees at your chest, arms straight, and wait. Once the boat almost has enough speed push the ski away, it will give you a pocket of air, reducing drag on the boat, and then just tip the ski forward a bit. Pull your hips forward and you will be home free. Make sure the rope is on the inside of your front foot too!!
If the boat doesnt plane fast enough,i have used a dolphin(hydrofoil) on all my boats and sure helps with the boat planning faster,if your boat doesnt have one already..makes the boat plane fast...smooths out the wake to some degree...
Get a new boat 😉
Hi I am 15 years old and have been skiing for a while now. I am at the stage where I am getting some good cuts in, however my boat is not a slalom boat and it creates a wake. Any tips?
Try arriving to the lake as early as possible so the lake is flat then increase the boat speed. Even behind the best ski boats there is a good sized wake in the 17-25MPH range.
Hips hips hips, keep them forward and you will get better at absorbing the wake and once you are cutting through the wake that will lessen the affect more. If its an inboard outboard or v drive its always going to suck :(
Great video, really informative!
+World Sport I appreciate it! I wish I could upload all of Seth's critics.
+RedBuoy Films It would be great to see more!
when do they open for the snow season?
Loved the visuals, hated the music. Couldn't even watch it all the way through. Maybe next time you might consider just letting us hear the water splashing? The trouble with music is, you can't really match everyone's tastes. Neat video otherwise, though.
Great track season due to the one and only...Coach Sandmann
Do you put something on the gopro so if it fell off it would still float? Looks sick by the way :) Awesome edit
great video, come by and watch mine!
